Why Use ToolNish Zakat Calculator
Calculating Zakat manually can become difficult when you have multiple forms of wealth, including cash, bank savings, gold, silver, investments and business assets. ToolNish Zakat Calculator brings these values together and calculates your estimated Zakat in seconds.
The calculator uses a standard Zakat rate of 2.5% for eligible wealth that reaches the selected Nisab threshold after the entered eligible liabilities are deducted.
You can calculate your Zakat in either Pakistani Rupees (PKR) or US Dollars (USD). Gold and silver prices are converted automatically when USD is selected.
How to Use Zakat Calculator
First select your preferred currency: PKR or USD. Then select the Nisab method you follow: Gold Nisab or Silver Nisab. The calculator automatically calculates the monetary Nisab value using the selected metal's latest available price.
Next, enter your eligible cash, bank balance, gold, silver, investments, business assets and other zakatable wealth. Enter eligible short-term liabilities if applicable, then click "Calculate Zakat".
If you change the currency after entering amounts, the calculator automatically converts your entered values using the available USD/PKR exchange rate.

What Is Zakat?
Zakat is an obligatory form of charity in Islam and is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Muslims who meet the required conditions and possess qualifying wealth above the applicable Nisab threshold generally pay Zakat on that wealth.
For many commonly zakatable forms of wealth, the standard Zakat rate is 2.5%. The exact treatment of assets, liabilities and other financial circumstances can vary according to the Islamic jurisprudence or authority being followed.
What Is Nisab?
Nisab is the minimum amount of qualifying wealth at which Zakat becomes due, subject to the applicable Islamic rules. Traditionally, Nisab is associated with specified quantities of gold or silver.
ToolNish provides two traditional Nisab options: 7.5 tola of gold or 52.5 tola of silver. The calculator converts the selected quantity into the chosen currency using the available metal price.
Gold Nisab
Gold Nisab is traditionally calculated using 7.5 tola of gold. Since gold prices change, the monetary value of Gold Nisab also changes. ToolNish automatically calculates this value using the available 24K gold price per tola.
Silver Nisab
Silver Nisab is traditionally calculated using 52.5 tola of silver. Because silver prices fluctuate, its monetary Nisab value also changes. ToolNish calculates the Silver Nisab automatically using the available silver price per tola.
PKR and USD Zakat Calculation
ToolNish allows users to calculate their Zakat in either Pakistani Rupees (PKR) or US Dollars (USD). When PKR is selected, asset values and Nisab are calculated directly in Pakistani Rupees.
When USD is selected, the calculator converts the available gold and silver prices from PKR into USD using the current available USD/PKR exchange rate. Your entered assets, liabilities, Nisab threshold and final Zakat are then displayed in USD.
What Assets Can Be Included?
- Cash kept at home or elsewhere
- Money held in bank accounts
- Eligible gold and silver
- Qualifying investments and shares
- Business and trading assets
- Other eligible zakatable wealth
Important Zakat Considerations
This calculator provides an estimate based on the information entered by the user. Zakat rules can differ depending on the type of asset, ownership, investment purpose, business inventory, liabilities and the Islamic school or authority being followed.
Gold and silver market prices can also differ between markets and sources. The displayed prices are intended as an indicative calculation basis and should not be treated as a guaranteed buying or selling price.
Exchange rates also fluctuate. The USD values displayed by this calculator are based on the available USD/PKR exchange rate at the time the calculator retrieves it.
If you are unsure whether a particular asset or liability should be included, or if your financial situation is complex, consult a qualified Islamic scholar or trusted Zakat authority before making your final calculation.
